On Friday, after 3 years, 4 months & 6 days of wanting a baby, we finally got to bring our precious baby home from the hospital after spending 9 days in the St. Joe's NICU, countless hours at the hospital, and several prayers being answered. Although he will need some follow-up care, we were so excited to bring him home with us. Outside of checking on him at least a dozen times to make sure he is still breathing, we survived the first two nights with a success and Tyler has been a very good boy. He continues to eat like a champ and slept a stretch of four hours straight! Tyler will need physical therapy twice a week (they will come to the home) as he continues to favor his right side and his left side is more tense than the right due to the rough delivery. The doctors seemed very optimistic that within time some of things will normalize. Tyler will also be seeing a neurologist as a follow-up and most likely get another MRI and EGG in the future. For now, we are enjoying every second with our boy!
All the nurses in the NICU are going to miss Tyler, but we are happy to let him loose! We can't thank the wonderful nurses and doctors for taking 24 hour care of our boy and helping him get healthy and strong with each day!

Welcome Home Tyler! The picture of Tyler in his car seat is such a good one!!
