Doctor, Doctors & more Doctors... I would love to know how much of my life is devoted for waiting for doctors and working around their schedules. While in the waiting room for Tyler's 6 month check-up I met a lady and her daughter who is Tyler's age (born 1 day after him), which means me and this lady were in near distance of each other when we delivered because it was at the same hospital. It was pretty neat to talk to her!
Tyler weighs in at 16 lb's, 2 oz, 27 inches. He continues to be classifed as "long and lean", but looks bigger than he really is due to those chubby cheeks that I can't get enough of!!!! He is in the 25 percentile for weight and the 75 percentile for length. Overall his check-up went well. It breaks my heart to see him get those shots, but after a few tears on his part, we got on with our lives. His dr. feels that for all that he has been through he is developing appropriately if not even ahead of the game for his personal situation. He is rolling, crawling backyards (aka: crab crawl), chatting up a storm, and his first tooth is trying to break through on the bottom.
While talking to his pediatrician about the multi medical appointments we have encountered in his short time, the pediatrician, said "sometimes we just need to have wine" and I can't agree more! Tyler has been such an easy baby (knock on wood), but it's the running around that drags me ragged at times. As his dr has reminded me, all of Tyler's issues are fixable and that again puts it in perspective for me! Tyler continues to make us laugh and is truly a gift that we have waited and waited and waited for... life in some ways is a waiting game and good things do come to those who wait!!
Off to celebrate his cousin Alex's 1 year birthday! Pictures to come.....
Tyler's such a good trooper with all the Doctor visits. You're so lucky he's such a good baby. Always smiling! I hope his tooth coming in doesn't bother him too much.
