Good Friends = Good Times

A few quick thoughts and a tribute to all of our friends.. As we get older, our lives get busier and we learn that time flies faster and faster. I have learned that amongst this craziness of life, work and normal daily obligations that the time we spend with friends (and family) for that matter is so precious! It has always been precious, but for me I realize it more now. I went through a stage where I wished I could see friends more (and I still do wish that), but I have realized that as times change and more kids are thrown in the mix, some days you are just on survival mode.

This past weekend we got together with our Whitewater Friends whom we get together with every Labor Day weekend and once over winter.. anything in between that is bonus!! It's so refreshing to be surrounded by good friends and pick up right where our crazy lives left off. We are fornuate for great friends, for our Whitewater Core Group, for our dinner group, for our high school friends, for our college friends, for our co-workers we have met along the way and anyone in between.

As our family expands I know our time with friends may yet become limited. So for what it's worth, maybe a sensitive pregnancy hormone struck tonight, but we are thankful and so happy to be blessed with all the great people in our lives and know we can count on our friends at all times!!! We hope the Brenton's have been as good as friends as everybody has been to us :)

A few pictures from the weekend.....


Tyler took a liking to Lana who is 11 weeks behind him. Tyler is in a "not sharing" stage, but he was being very generous feeding Lana his supper as she was still hungry. It was cute!





At one point in the evening Tyler tackled Lana down.. I think Tyler is hanging out with his boy cousin's too much. It was pretty funny! Luckily nobody was hurt!

Meidam was giving out free somersault rides and Tyler went twice.. he loved it!


Our attempt to get all the kids together right after the majority of the kids hit the bewitching hour.. Ty was ready to go to bed but he still had enough energy to try to take Alayna's sippie cup. I just love her expression!!! We need to work on sharing and not taking other friends things.... it's been challenging teaching that to a 16 month old :)


The Whitewater Ladies.. not the best pic of me in my opinion, but had to point out that three out of the five in this picture are preggo... Shana and Jeannette (the farthest to the right are due within days of each other and within days of our annual Labor Day camping trip so we are working on a plan B so we can still get together as usual). It's our 10 year anniversary of getting together over Labor Day together so it wouldn't be the same without one another :) We may just be celebrating in a hospital this year!


The Whitewater Fella's and the kiddos... next year at this time there will be three more kids to add to the picture :)


And.. as promised here is a recent belly shot. I feel like I blinked my eyes and I am already 7 months this weekend. We are getting very excited and continue to pray that we will be holding a healthy baby this June (or May?)!!!

Off to make dinner... what does this baby want to eat tonight other than a stack of girl scout cookies??
